New storage idea

New being the relative term here....new to me atleast.

I happened to click on this link while I was on another forum and saw these are about to be available. I haven't viewed the item extensively but it's a really good storage idea. There is a fjcruiser with a console module....wish they had it for a 3rd gen so I could add some drink holders.

If these existed for my '96 I'd have already bought one! I went from my 2001 DC Tacoma (which had 4 cup holders all around the center console and shifter area) to my 4Runner with it's miserable design, I'd be all over this. I don't know what Toyota was thinking. It blocks the A/C or heater, shakes horribly spilling and dripping all over the place, and one of the springs on mine is shot so only one side is ACTUALLY functional! FML...

Just do the newer center console mod!

The MPAC products are really cool, wish they made stuff for the 3rd gens.

The more I look at this, I see that it's the white metal piece around the shifter. It looks like the FJ has a stock cup holder, so what exactly does this piece do It initially thought it added the cup holder. It doesn't really have a product description...

Rickashay, I don't know if I'd want to pay about the same for the parts and still have to mod the damn thing myself.

They don't add cup holders..

They are for Molle type pouches and bags. It's basically a rack to add more storage.

The cup holder was what I would add....not something they offer. I have one I really like (Link to the best cupholders I've ever had ) but don't want to drill into my console and leave screw holes. I used them before on my landcruiser which was even more pathetic at holding a drink....square cup holders???? Toyota :wtf:
