Hi guys! Just want to get back here with reviews and my real world experience with Ripp high performance ignition coils. MPG: it depends how you will drive. One day I drove it like I stole it, didn’t get any better, next day drove like a normal person I got 6 MPG more. HP gain: Honestly couldn’t feel much with bud dyno, other than throttle response got better off the line, engine sounds quieter. Well then I installed TRD CAI as additional, now I can feel it with a bud dyno there’s more HP. Overall with 33” tires, 2.5” lift, 93 octane, my 4Runner feels like a stock, with better MPG .![]()
I got to tell you, I never had this # on my cluster. Before I installed those coils I had 14.2 - 15.2 with the same driving habits. And also there is another set of coils ready to ship out to anyone who willing to install it on his/her 5th gen 4Runner, just to have a second opinion from different people ( No charge ). You can email or call to Ripp supercharger directly with your information. Thanks .

Definitely sounds like an improvement. Are you hand calculating your new and improved MPG at the gas pump or are you just going by the dash readout?
Maybe you should also install a Sprint Booster to see how that would work with it?
