Nice 4runner dude. That tires are good. Some say it will give you more traction which is a good thing.

so how are you liking the tires so far? looking to get a set this weekend i think and wanted to hear your thoughts and impressions on road noise handling wear wet dry snow etc

I really dont think they are any louder than stock tires. I do freeway driving everyday and i dont notice enough of a difference to even worry about it. They handle awesome in the rain. I was doing 70mph on the freeway driving through rain and very light slush with no problems at all. Defenitely recommend these tires

we will see how the clearances go. should be fine. i got my 3/2 cornfed kit earlier in the week and so i should be tall enough to run them

Do you have wheel spacers? You won't clear your UCA's without them.
Also, plan on lots and lots of plastic trimming and removal of your mud flaps.

yes i have the spidertrax spacers and totally understand there will be trimming. should be fun though. hopefully this weekend i will get the setup installed and dialed in.

cornfed 3/2 lift, FJ wheels and 295/70/17 nittos installed and happy
no spacers in the front. need to get alignment done tomorrow as there is a tad bit of possitive camber. nothing bad at all though as the molding hairs are still on the tires after at least 20 miles of driving already.
just wanted to post that they do fit in the front. with the spacers no way. they were rubbing on the frame on the rear of the front fender by the running board. spacers are still in the rear but none in the front

Man those look niiiiice. You have the same roof racks as me too. Are you carrying a spare in back?
Do you notice any power loss with them on?
How's the ride quality with the larger tires? Any more comfortable, soft, etc?

thanks. i was a bit worried at first with the spacers on there and having the fronts hitting the frame.
just the factory spare. i have a 5th FJ wheel though. need to see clearances and whether it is possible.
not much power loss with the V8. a bit down low but still has plenty of get up.
they ride so smooth its great. they are actually quiter than the rugged trails that were on there OEM.
and i would yank the running boards but my mom has issues with her knees and needs the step to get in to it. maybe at some point but not now. plus i like not having limo tint all around. privacy glass is good. im a sucker for being able to see at night. :biggrin2:
