New tires and TPMS

Quick question...I have a facility available to me that allows me to mount and balance my own tires with the assistance of someone knowledgeable about the tire mounting and balancing machine.

Now, I think I need to be careful when taking off the old tire and installing the new tire because of the TPMS system, which by the way I've disabled.

Do I need to do anything with these valves when replacing a tire? It's not like a wheel in which you just install new valves...

When I had a Discount Tire swap my TMPS to my new wheels they used a 'rebuild'. Basically it is a new seal & valve stem. They are cheap. TPMS Rebuilt kit

On second thought...If I disabled the system could I just removed the TPMS sensor and put normal valves in there. I don't see why not...

TPMS...Dumbest system ever. Designed for general population that doesn't know how to check their tire pressure.

True but is has saved my wife and I a couple times when the tires were punctured while driving on the freeway before there were tell-tale signs behind the steering wheel.

^ ditto for me . Bit of a hassle but it does the job & I mean does that little bitey light really bother us THAT much ? Piece of my powdercoat came loose between tire & wheel started loosing air slow , and you know sometimes you don't do a walk around to check well TPMS saved me some hassle .

Not sure why someone would fix something that ain't broke, but as always, YMMV.

Also, got my new tires installed w/out the TPMS sensors. Anyway to testing these to determine which one is bad?
