New tires?

I am looking to replace tires on my 96 T4R. I've narrowed it down to the Michelin LXT M/S and BFG AT KO? Is anyone running these tires, and if so, your thoughts on them. Michelin also has the new M/S2 model, but its not available in Canada for a few months. Not sure if its worth the wait?
Thx

I personally like both tires. I have run the BFG AT's on previous vehicles with good results. Whn I bought my current truck it had the Michelin LTX and i was very happy with the performance in dry or wet conditions. They even did decent off- road but not as good as a true AT will but the AT wont have the great on road ride/performance.

When we bought my Wife's 4Runner, it had the Michelins on it. I had the BFG's on mine.
I had a vibration issue on my truck I was trying to isolate, so I swapped tires between trucks.
She didn't want to return the BFG's, in fact they are still on her truck!
I had to go buy another set of BFG's for my truck.
The Michelins were O.K., but too wimpy for my tastes, and I like how the BFG's look & perform.

I owned a set of KO's for 4 years and liked the way they looked. They were a little loud, but nothing a little loud music couldn't get rid of. My Maxxis Bighorn's are alot louder mind you! I've heard great things about Michelin tires. I've heard that their on road manners are great, and that they are a nice riding tire.

If you want rugged good looks, go with the BFG's, if you want a nice riding tire, go with the Michelins.

As a side note, I love the looks and performance that I get with my Bighorns. They are a mud tire though, and a loud as all heck, but I actually like the sound. The other bonus.....they were cheaper than any BFG, Michelin, Mickey Thompson out there.......

Those tires aren't even in the same class. The LTX will give you a really good ride. Smooth, handle well in almost all conditions. Not the best for offroad.

The BFG KO will be ok on pavement. A little heavy, maybe not so well in the rain. Pretty good offroad.

Your definitely set on one of these two?
