New to AZ and T4R

A quick introduction as I just moved to the Phoenix area and picked up a 3rd Gen. I'll be browsing for sale ads and lurking build threads for ideas.

Nice looking 4Runner! I had a 99 4Runner for a while but now I have an 89 and an 06.

What part of Phoenix do you live? I'm in Chandler and I have alot of friends with 3rd gens so if you're looking for some ideas, I have los of them. I have some buddies that do amazing fab work plus I spend a good amount of coin at Sierra Expeditions in Tempe - they just did a 2.5" Bilstein lift on my 06 4Runner, and they so great! I do my best to buy everything I need from them.

If you ever want to hit the trails, let me know - I try to get out on the trails a few times a month. This Sunday I'm going with a few friends up to 4Peaks to give the 06 4Runner its first off-pavement run. Its a very easy trail, most of the trail can be done in 2WD too. There are a few side trails that can be challenging if you want to see what your 4Runner can do - thats my plan. I know my 89 can handle just about anything I throw at it, but this will be my first time wheelin in the 06. Let me know if you're interested.

In Gilbert for now actually, so pretty close! I'll have to check out Sierra Expeditions. I definitely want to explore some trails soon. Browsing the forums has made me weary of doing much without thoroughly checking out the condition of my cooling system to avoided any milkshakes. It looks good but I'm tossing around the idea of at least replacing the radiator so I KNOW it's been done and I'll rest easier when getting out further from civilization.

In the past when I've had an SUV it's always been a Jeep and I've never left the suspension alone. I'll use this one as a commuter as well so anything I do will be mild but I've been looking at a few small lifts in the 2" range.
