I did the same exact thing, parked my rig on Fiesta back in the Navy days. It was all stock then.
I was on USS Antietam for 4 years; CG54.
Since you are new to San Diego I will recommend my preferred mechanic.
The Truck Shop, located on Miramar Rd.

I used the NEX Auto Shop a few times but those guys installed a cheapo water pump that failed after only 50k miles and I never went back.
I'll pass on something that I didn't learn for many years (lol) ... when you go to PB, all the NAVY people disappear about 4 blocks from the beach. It is like Navy peeps only know PB Bar & Grill and don't realize the street is much much longer. Walk east and see those bars, assuming you are old enough (if not then remember for later) :llama:

Oh PB and the Gas Lamp District how I miss you so. The good times, the bad, the stories you tell after it is all done. How the Senior Marines were such steller examples when waking up in hand cuffs the next morning issued from San Diego PD. How when you slice your arm open from a boat prop the IDC Chief (Medic in Army terms) looks at you and say that is *****en bro. Good job! Miss that place.
