New to Forum- Looking for two things!

Just bought my friends 1989 4runner. Its in really nice shape.
Looking for a RED shift boot and I want to add running boards.
Did the 1989 model have a set of factory installed running boards?
What after market running boards do you guys recoomend? I know its a matter of personal taste, but I want to find one that looks good and is easy to install.

I got a shift boot from a UK supplier. He sent me leather samples and let me choose which one he was going to build from. The color doesn’t match the bezel but my interior is fifty shades of red anyway. The quality though is really nice. I had to reuse the old metal frame, the one he includes is flimsy.

To bad you are not closer , I just took mine off and they are sitting in my junk pile. I won't put them back on but the distance is just to costly to ship.
