Greetings all,

New to this forum. I'm part of some others, but finally decided to do some things to the t4r I beat around. The wife's grandma gave us her t4r a couple years ago I guess. It's kinda of a piece. Wife and I have swap cars from time to time from our regular car to the 4tr. My regular car is '10 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T (no bashing please). The t4r is a 98 base 2.7, black 195k miles with needed body work that will never happen. Just replaced the valve cover gasket and will soon need rack and pinion replacement. With the r&p replace and the 195k miles I was considering trading, but after looking for a replacement I decided to keep the t4r. So if I am keeping it for another 100k miles I would like to mod alittle to make it faster seeing how it's very slow. Is it worth it to mod anything at this point? Maybe just a CAI? Would like to turbo but that's $2500. Well, hi everyone!

Welcome to T4R.ORG! U can do a CAI and a cat-back exhaust system. That 'll get u 10-20 hp maybe. Ur best bet would be gears, especially if u plan on running bigger tires.

Thanks guys! I'll check out the gears. I bought some 40k miles Firestone house brands several months ago, but I'll go bigger if I find a deal on rim and tires combo. What's the typical gear ratio most go to on 33s? It can handle 33s without lifting right?

U can squeeze 33s on without a lift, a lot of guys on here do it, I did it, although I'm running 33/10.50s not the 12.50s. I'm run them on the stock rims. U can gain a 1.5" lift with ball-joint spacers and an extended shackle for not a lot of $$$. Regear it to 4.88 for 33s or 32s. Hell if the bodyworks that thrashed, break out the sawzall, trim the F outta the fenders, run 35s, and regear to 5.29s!:driving:
