I would try to persuade the dealer to do the Bilsteins all around in place of fixing XREAS - it will likely cost them less in parts and labour than fixing the XREAS system. The main reason I would do it however is its pretty likely they will fix it (ie patch it up rather than replacing it entirely, which is what it sounds like the plan is) and it will work for a while and then you'll spring another leak, at which point you won't be able to really argue it is a pre-purchase issue anymore and will be stuck with the cost of doing Bilsteins anyway. It boils down to how much time you want to spend at the dealer over the coming months

Yup- the dealer has the new rear X-REAS shock sitting in their garage waiting for me to find the time to get it over there. At this point- I'm goin with what they give me and ride it out as long as I can....

I had the truck up on my buddy's lift this morning checking out the whole X-REAS system. I'm still wondering what would happen if I replace just the entire right-rear to front-left components leaving the left-rear to front-right as is. The truck has 31k miles on it. Could the LR-FR system be that much worn in to notice a difference in handling/dampening if i swap out the other half of the system?
