New to T4R

I'm new to the T4R forums.
I've already learned a lot from the forums.

I do have a question though.
I removed my fender flares from my 95 4runner
and I'm seeing some plastic pieces in the body.
I'm not sure if they make a cover for this or what is supposed to be over them.



I'm currently looking to replace the front fenders with a set of fiberglass and possibly pull the rear fenders as well.


So just let me know if anything looks out of the ordinary here

There is a plastic piece for the rear fenders that is stock. It is just cosmetic though. I would not personally worry about it too much.

Small plastic guards, they're on most 3rd gen pickups and 2nd gen runners if you're looking for replacements. Probably 5 bucks at a yard. I removed mine and filled the holes with bondo before painting.

Nice rig. Why replace the fenders?

Yep, those little plastic pieces in front of the rear wheel well are normal. Welcome to the family!

Do you have any pictures of the bondo And I love the look of fiberglass but if I tube out the front and rear bumper ill probably leave them stock

I don't have a close up as I've sold the rig since, but here's one. I just wanted to fill the holes and wasn't too picky since it was a trail rig. I put a piece a tape behind the holes and used the bondo as directed and then sanded/primered before painting. It held up well for my purposes.

To get a completely flat look (you can still see where the indentations were on mine) you would just have to use a little more bondo to get it flush.

IMHO, I'd wait on touching the fenders until I handled the other parts of the truck (like the bumpers you mentioned, lift, tire size, etc.).

Thanks. 33x12.5x15. I wouldn't recommend anything over 35s with IFS.

Current plans,

Tube bumpers, front rear sliders and roof rack.
I would like to go 33's on the tires. possibly a snorkle if I get a decent price on one.
New radio (other than stock)
might do a single twelve in the rear



But first things first I need to have the body work done and get it painted. I'm thinking about blue or Olive drab plastidip for paint. the matte color obviously. But nothing is set in stone yet. I work full time so I don't have a TON of time to be working on it yet.


oh and I need to fix my auto antenna
