New to the 4Runner

Hey there T4R,

I recently relocated from Sunny Southern California to KCMO and needed to get something with AWD/4WD capabilities. I ditched the Prius in California (I drove over 2 hours a day, please don't hate) and I had no idea what I was going to get, in-laws lent me their 04 Avalon to use in the mean time, great little car, just not something I wanted to spend too much time in. But the wife needed a car first to tote the youngins around in. She test drove the T4R, but was not a fan so got a Highlander. When we went to pick hers up I went to the T4R again and just felt it was the one for me, ended up finding one nearby they went to get it and it was sold, found another and brought it home on Halloween.

No big time mods for a bit due to lack of funds. Threw on a bug deflector this AM as well as blacked out the TRD OR logos. I have a TRD Pro rear bumper waiting to go on, then need to decide if I want to match the front to that or get the C4 Lo. In-laws also got me all sorts of bulbs for upgrading lo-beams, high beams and fogs along with yellow lamin-x on the fogs.

Want to probably do a 2-1 level/lift in the future when the tires need to be replaced. I used to do some wheeling back in the day in my Ford Rangers, had a 2wd lifted, then got a 4wd.

Learning more and more each day on here and cannot wait to learn more!

Congratulations and welcome! I picked up a 2019 TRDOR myself in October. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned, not to disrespect all my other Toyotas over the years. Lots of good info and helpful people on here when you need or want. Mine will remain stock, as I need it to be as trouble-free as possible for as long as possible. But I like reading about and seeing others’ mods. Lots of good ideas.

Enjoy the ride!
