Hey guys new to the forum, and have a question for a level/lift on a 2013 sr5. The dealer said if they do it the warranty will not be voided. they want to use this Toyota FJ Cruiser & 4Runner SST Lift Kit: 2003-2012 - 3.0"F/2.0"R any pros or cons to using this. What would you rather use. thanks for any advice.

that's a standard spacer lift. you ask if there are any pros or cons, or what lift someone would rather use - that depends on what you want the lift for. do some research on this site and you'll find this type of question has been asked, and answered many times.

Why won't it work on a TE or "FJ" with Hydraulic Sway Bar?

I'd go ahead and spend the money on an OME setup. Key is to secure the hydraulic cylinders of the KDSS so they don't move as you install the lift. I used a ratchet strap and installed an OME lift on my TE in about 9 hours. Sure it was a pain and my shoulder hurt like hell the next day from compressing the springs but it's doable.

$440 for a spacer kit?????Those and Revtecs are ripoffs!

If your going to get a spacer kit I'd go with the Daystar kit as a spacer kit is a spacer kit is a spacer kit. These are run by a bunch of people on the forum and they are about $150 all day long and are easy to install as the front are top plate spacers and come with bolt extenders .Daystarâ„¢ - Driven by Design

you didn't need a spring compressor to put the top mounts on the springs and bolt it up?

Ome is not a true coil over, you can use a floor jack to compress tthe spring while it is on the truck to get the shock tube seated and secured. Easy-peasy, should take 90 min or so per side, depending on how comfortable you are getting under your truck and turning wrenches.

i've done suspension work many times on my previous cars.. but i've needed a spring compressor to get the top mount on.. so there is no top mount that i need to bolt on first? before bolting up the 3 bolts up top?

this is my driver's side. I'm running the Bilstein 5100's on the front axle, but the Nitrocharger is the same idea in that it is not a coilover. The spring rests on a perch on the shock tube and in the stock mount in the shock tower. The spring is an OME 885
