New to the forums but not Toyota!!

Hey everyone,

I just purchased a 1999 T4R 2WD Limited Black for my wife recently. It has 224K on it and is an Auto trans. Rides well looks nice. It has its flaws but the cool thing is the motor was rebuilt by Toyota only 40K ago and a lot of regular maintenance has been done over the years. It has had rad flush, trans flush, diff flush, oil change, and also a whole new main harness for the ECU/motor. There are no leaks from anywhere. I love the color combo.. It this a rare color combo because I have never seen this one before or atleast very few times?? So anyway here is a pic of the new to us T4R

I plan on doing the Diff mod for the breather, the intake deck plate/tube mod, and also some new bushings here and there. After that I really don't know just yet.

It's a lot of hard work to make them look good. The T4R is nice and I believe she is wanting to lift it so that will happen soon enough too.

Haha, Most people say that about the Lexus. They usually say that they are not a fan but for some reason mine they really like. I appreciate that more than any compliment given. The Lexus has a 1JZ Auto swap its running stock twin turbos for now, megan EZ coilovers, 3" intercooler piping, Large Front mount intercooler, manual boost controller set to 15psi, AEM UEGO, Apexi SAFC untuned, New cross drilled and slotted rotors, New EBC pads, SS brake lines, Racing Hart M5's 18x 8.5/9.5 +17 offset all around, 97+ side skirts, IS300 seats, full black leather interior and I am sure some other stuff I can't remember.

I can't wait to see what I do as well. It seems to be a great platform for mods. My brother has had 4Runners for years and he loves them. So I figured Toyota... That just makes sense.

I like the color combo as well. I have really only seen this combo probably once before. The paint needs a really good buff and the metallic fender flares and such need a repaint eventually. Otherwise its a clean ride.
