I've been wanting a T4R for years and I finally took the plunge and bought a 2015 T4R TRD PRO. It had just come off the truck and I bought it the very next day. Can't wait to take better pics and add some mods. This is my first T4R and 4x4 vehicle so I'm looking for some local trails in the San Antonio/Austin area so I can finally take it off roading. Any suggestions?

I don't have any experience with N-Fab but just looking at their website and the fact that they refer to them as "Nerf Bars" leads me to believe that those are only steps not meant to support the weight of the 4Runner as it's sliding over a boulder. Since they claim those "Nerf Bars" will support 465 pounds, I suspect they'll fold under the weight of the 4Runner and you'll bash in the rockers. Look at ones that are sold as "sliders" and are designed to support the weight of the vehicle and dragged across a boulder. Also, if you plan on doing serious off roading, consider avoiding those steps that stick out. They're just one more thing to hang up on rocks. Take a look at BudBuilt and Schrockworks. Just an opinion from a 4Gen owner. I'm sure the 5Gen owners will have more input on which sliders to go with. Good luck!
