New UR From MN!

I have already posted a couple on a couple of threads, but never said hello...I work at a dealership and we got this UR in on trade. A bit high on miles @105k but EVERY. SINGLE. SERVICE. has been done to this rig (owners buddy.) So far, only mods Ive done are HIDS, LED plate bulbs, and Weathertechs. Also had to have both front wheel bearings replaced (kind of a bummer) but I have an extended warranty (get those on the cheap!) so I was only out $100, and my boss covered 1/2 since he felt bad.

So far have learned a lot about the truck from everyone, going to do the v-6 Tick mod when I have a chance and its not butt-ass cold here in MN. Also, thinking of bringing it to the Toyota dealer and seeing if I can sweet talk them into doing the TSB for the sulfur smell, I've only smelled it once but I figure might as well give it a shot!

Hey, welcome to T4R.org from a former Minnesotan (born in Minneapolis)! Look, do not feel the least bit reluctant about the mileage. What is 105k miles on a Runner is the equivalent to 35k on a domestic vehicle (think dog years). So your runner is barely.... and I mean BARELY through 1/3 of it's life! As far as the TSB for the sulfur smell.... From what I remember, others have had the TSB taken care of but in the end, it did NOT remove the sulfur smell. Several members here, simply have a muffler shop "turn" their exhaust pipe out to the side, therefore eliminating the sulfur smell from coming back into the vehicle when the rear window is down. Anyway, glad you like your Runner and definitely looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

Great choice. Don't sweat the miles especially if the service record is that meticulous. I picked mine up late summer with just shy over 100K. I have been going through the maintenance items one by one as I learn them on this forum. So far everything has been in pretty good shape. Not much work going on though with these temps. Very fun in the snow too.
