Yes, yes, and yes.

Apparently the backlights commonly go out. A friend has an 03, identical to the one I just bought, and he and I both had lights out.

I still need to replace the ones behind my a/c controller display. Hoping the dash isn't too much of a pain to tear apart to change them.

Thank you Toydeluxe for the yeses. Guess I'll be doing that later. Theres a cool youtube video of a guy doing the a/c controller display, I just had to do mine yesterday. Damn bulbs are no joke at almost 5$ each. It's really easy to do but one thing to note is that some of the newer bulbs straight slot slit does not line up with the indicator lines. Worried me at first but turned out fine.

I would clean or replace the PCV valve as well. it's only about 5 bucks.

I might have to look into the PVC Valve. So far we've:

1. Changed the timing belt, water pump, and serpentine belt (The mechanic did not use Toyota. He used a gates kit, so hopefully we'll be ok.)

2. Changed air filter (Toyota O.E.)

3. Changed Transmission Fluid (Toyota O.E.)

4. Changed Differential and Transfer Case Fluid (Amsoil Severe Gear)

5. Changed Coolant (Red Toyota Stuff)

6. Greased all the stuff underneath

7. I'm trying to change the power steering fluid, but I can't get the wheels off the ground. I may need to invest in another jack. In the mean time, I'm just tempted to go down the road and see if the quick lube place will change it. I have the fluid. (It's Mobil1.) I just need to get it in there.

You all have been amazing! We love this truck! The snow has hit OKC, and we're getting to see what this thing can do. There are no words to describe how awesome this truck is!

I'd go ahead and buy a floor jack and stands. It probably won't cost much more than the shop will charge you to do it but you'll have the hardware for next time. You'll definitely use it again.
