New wheels now, or new tires now?

Currently running 265/65/17 Blizzak's on silver aftermarket 5 spoke aluminum wheels and have the bug for beefier AT's and maybe different wheels. Found some Stealth Custom Series on CL: Stealth Custom Series Wheels

Anyways, with it being winter time, Blizzaks are going to stay until spring maybe.. So, should I buy the SR8 SCS wheels (16's) and eventually purchase tires for them this spring, or just put the money for the wheels towards the tires and NOT change the wheels? There's nothing wrong with the wheels I'm currently running.

My primary hang up is that to me, wheels are just a cosmetic upgrade, so I am hesitant to put $800 or so in to wheels IF it doesn't gain me any benefit besides looks. IDK! My future plans don't include anything over a 2-3" spacer lift anyways, so my tire choices aren't extreme.

I saw those wheels on Craigslist too!

If you decide to go with 285's will need wheel spacers or offset wheels to not rub the spindle in my experience.

If you sell your stock rims for $200 it only makes it a $600 upgrade!

The internal debate is; "THESE WHEELS LOOK SWEET!!!!" (Like on your rig), but I also think "The cost of wheels ALONE could almost completely buy new tires all around plus a spare"... and the wheels don't serve any purpose beyond the wheels I own now.

Honestly man, I say get the rims. If you plan to keep your Blizzaks get he SCS rims and you won't regret it when you finally get them on your truck. It's okay to be a little impulsive sometimes [emoji106]
