New Wheels? Opinions?

Looking to start modifying my new ride, 99 Limited 4X4. Silver. Deciding whether to get aftermarket black wheels and tires or poweder coat my stocks, there the 16" 5 spoke. Also, should i run a bigger tire size to make it look beefier? thanks guys for the input

I would go with black aftermarket wheels, if you want to stay away from the stock look. Any plans to lift? 33's would look plenty beefy but you'll have rubbing with 33's and no lift.

I think black looks great on the silver (obviously considering that's what I'm running). A lot of people on here will probably tell you that it's overdone, but the truth is that on the streets you'll probably rarely ever run into another one on black wheels. At least around here. 99% of them are stock.

Black all the way. I love the look. Either aftermarket or painted stock.
Planning on plasti-dipping mine very soon.

For what it's worth I am lifted and running 33's. Had to add wheel spacers because the UCA's rub on the inside when the suspension is compressed or fully extended.

I'd get aftermarket black wheels with 265/75R16's (32's) if you aren't ready to lift yet. This is what I'm running and I'm very happy with my set up. Check out my build for details.

Im not looking to lift, I used to have a 97 explorer V8 I lifted with off road wheels and roof rack with lights and all that and ended up getting 9 MPG when I was done, so no lift for me. Anyone know of any photos or have the limited 16" rims painted black on a silver 4Runner by chance? also I dont know much about the wheel setup and sizes for the 4Runner, im used to ricing out my Acura TL. Thanks guys
