Newb here--trans ID help!

Newb here--need help! I have an 86 with the 22re in it but I don't think it has the original transmission in it. How can I find a model number to it? If anyone can see the pic attached, I need to figure out what kind of plastic piece goes on the end if the shifter ball that goes into the transmission. Any and all help is very appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

I know the OP says its an 86, but that's a fwd shift t-case setup, so it's a W56-C, D, or E.
Used from 89-95.
