Ive been perusing this site for a good while now. I just wanted to introduce myself, and to introduce Eleanor. Eleanor is my V8 Sport. I picked her up on Feb 15th. When i picked her up I traded my V6 Sport for her. Why did I trade it in? There is a story behind all of it. It all started...um I believe it was Feb or Mar 03, when i bought a Durango R/T. This was an impulse purchase. I fell in love with that truck when my boss bought one. I loved the rumble. Little did I know about any of the horror stories posted all over the internet. Shortly after that purchase, light was shed, and I found out what a P.O.S that Daimler/Chrysler was. I had problems all over the place with it. Two of the most annoying problems I had was the ball joints, and an unreliable battery that died on a long drive I made to Michigan (i live in VA). At around the same time my brother bought an 02 Sport, which I envied very much. I again immediately fell in love with the 4runner. I loved the power rear window. Eight months later, i ended up with a V6 Sport with none of the trimmings I really wanted, mainly because I didnt want to lose anymore money on my Durango, and because at that time the 4runners were actually flying off the lots. I wanted the JBL Synthesis, I wanted a V8, and a couple of other things. Long story short...Im here now, and im not going anywhere. Hopefully im welcomed in. Thanks.
