Newbie here....would appreciate some advice

I've been lurking here on and off for quite some time. I owned a 2003 Limited 4Runner when the the 4th gen was first intorduced and hung out here quite a bit. I got rid of the 4Runner a few years ago, but am in the market for a new one now. I found one I really like and thought I'd get some opinions from some of the most knowledgable 4Runner enthuists I could find.

Anyway, below are the details of the T4R I have found:

2006 Sport V8 - Gray
37,000 miles
Toyota Certified Used
Sun/Moon Roof
Tow Package
Rear cargo deck

The truck is exceptionally clean, no dings or scratches. It drives great and in the test drive I took, there were no rattles or squeeks. It seems like a really solid truck.

They are asking $27,300 for it and I got them to $25,500, but that's the best I could do. Is this a pretty fair price? KBB shows it is worth about $27,000.

Thats TERRIBLE I got my 07 brand new for 26000 + TTYL

Its barely worth 23000.

With taxes and title, I got my for 28,000(New). I bought my t4r at the end of March.

Price sucks X 12. I would think it should be about 20g. Got my 07 sport 4x4 leather, 19000mi for 23g 6 mos ago. Wife got her 06 sport, lthr, jbl, 18,000mi for 20g last oct.

eskimochos - My initial offer to them was $23,000. They practically laughed in my face. I probably should have just turned around andd walked out then. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment.

jpsT4R - I see you have a V6 - the one I'm looking at is V8, so kinda apples to oranges, but I appeciate the input. Still a good data point.

Euphor501 - are your trucks V8 or V6? If V8, looks like you got great deals!

Both or ours are V6's. From my research, used V8's arnt priced a great deal apart as they can be viewed as a pro or con depending on the buyer, however, call it an additional 1500 bucks. Either way, it sounds like they gave way to much $$ for it as a trade in. I wouldnt clean up after their mess if thats the case. At those prices you could be looking at used 07 limiteds.
