Hi to all,

First time poster here as a new member to the 4Runner.org boards. Been reading the board since I bought my `04 4Runner
and alot of you guys post better messages to peoples questions and problems better then the dealership.

I am a 40 y/o road construction worker in NYC. Yes blame me for the potholes and rnadom street closings. For that I do apologize,
if you see me dont throw eggs.

I`m an owner of a `04 SR5 and I love the beast except for that damn egg smell lol. When I have the time I will post picks of my beast. The only problems I`ve had with it is the moonroof motor went along with the gears, also the zipper broke on the passenger seat. Both covered by warranty. The only damage to my truck has been by leaving it at the dealer service dept.

To all in NY area DONT LET MILLINIUM servce your vehicle. If you do make sure you go over the vehicle with a maganfying glass before you leave the dealership. I have a 4 page letter going to HQ in Ca, for the damage they caused. Other damage I didnt find till a lil over a month had passed. I`m very careful where I leave
and park my truck, they did the damage.

Well just want to say hello and hopefully I`ll be posting alot more in the future and thanks for the info you all have passed on.
Some of you guys have killer 4 runners.

Keep up the good work.

Bones

Welcome to the board although you've been reading for a while. When I had my '04 SR5 I too had problems with the service department at a particular dealership. At 700 miles, I went to get an alignment, and in the process they dented my front fender in three places. And then at 9,000 miles, I went in for a simple oil change, and they sprayed oil all over the exterior AND interior of my 4Runner, and gave it back to me without even cleaning it off. I will never go back to that dealership and won't recommend them to anybody else.

Welcome to the boards bones! If you have the sulfur smell, there may be a fix that can be done to your truck. Do a search for Sulfur TSB and you should find some hits for the V6 and the V8. They come in different TSBs depending on your engine so find the correct one and hopefully your VIN is covered.
