Newbie needs some help with purchase

I have been reading this forum for a while and I am now thinking of purchasing a 2002 SR5 4Runner with 93,000 miles. It is in almost perfect condition. The body does not have one single scratch or dent, flawless. The interior is also perfect with no stains, rips, tears, nothing. The engine compartment is a little dusty, but no obvious leaks or anything. It has almost all options except leather seats. Automatic with ADD 4WD push button. The tires are brand new, the timing belt has NOT been done yet. The carfax is clean, but hardly NO maintenance items are on the Carfax. The seller is asking $10,900 for it. Do you 4Runner owners think this is worth the price he is asking? I don't have any pictures, but hope to get some to post on here tomorrow. Any opinions on the price? 93,000 does not seem to be a lot of miles for these vehicles?

dude I would buy that in a heartbeat if I had the money, that is a good price IMO. My last runner was a '00 highlander edition with 100k, I paid 11,500 for it. It was immaculate. BUY IT!!

NO way! thats such low mileage. Any of these 4runner guys on here would agree. I just got a 96 with 374,000 miles its all stock with regular dealer maintainence and it runs absolutely perfect, It's about to go up on 35's here real soon. If I were you I'd snatch up that 02 and start modding. It will last you another 200k easy. Anyway, I think it's a great price and well worth it.

93K is nothin', these things go 300K easy. Price is reasonable for (what you describe as) an immaculate 2002 model, but you might offer 9.5 and see what they say. Tell them it will cost $1000 for timing belt change which should already have been done and use that as a bargaining chip.

All comes down to how badly you want it. I paid $8K for each of my 2000 T4R's (one SR5 with 130K and one Ltd with 160K).

Where are you? I think in my search, the thing that was more important was where the 4Runner spent most of it's life. I would find 4Runners in the NE with under 40k miles on them, but underneath they looked like they had 200k. The '01 I bought spent its whole life in the South Bay and it does not have ONE spec of rust on it.

yeah location location location, depending on where you are in the country also has some bearing on the price as well, where are you and where has the truck lived most of it's life?

That is pretty good mileage for a 2002, my 2001 has 134,000 on it. By the way, I still have the original timing belt on my car.
