NFab owners - quick question

I am going to try my hand at my own sliders - I like the step placement/size of the nfabs in relation to the doors.

Can anyone with a set get me the width of the steps, distance from either end to center of step and distance from center of front step to center of rear.

Not so exciting but I appreciate it!

No measurements, too cold to go out in my shop now. IMO - They are located very well at both front and rear doors. The bottom is 14 inches above ground. Hope the photo helps. A few times I wished I had sliders instead, but the cost was almost double and I do easy to mild off road trips.

Here you go, hope this helps... I'd rather have sliders too, but these were put on as steps so the misses would be ok with the lift.

well this was/is timely.... I was just about to start a thread asking about your comment above...

I am finally stretching the TEP’s legs this weekend with a pretty serious off-roading buddy of mine who invited us out to join him & friends for a big 4x4 event. We’re headed to Barnwell Mtn in E. TX. I may even enter the stock class competition, but who knows. I’m using it as an excuse to take my son camping for a night, and to get us out of the “concrete jungle” for a short weekend.

Point is, I have nFab steps on my Trail. I am FULLY aware of their limitations and the differences between them and real sliders... my intentions are to stick with easy and mild trails without getting into a scenario that would necessitate sliders. HAVING SAID THAT... we all know $hiote happens... so my question/poll was going to be simple (to those who have a ton more off-roading experience than I do; and I’m not holding anyone liable here, but merely looking for guidance), do I leave the nFab steps on knowing I’m going easy/mild stuff; OR, do I yank them off and go bare instead, thereby eliminating the chance of hitting them on accident.

Any thoughts from anyone? Maybe I should poll on a new thread? I’ll keep searching in the meantime....

Yank them and go bare for the weekend. Assuming you have a pair of ramps and proper tools it takes maybe 20 minutes. Mine takes longer because I managed to bend the underside of my rocker panel on a bad hit a while back. Now any time I'm leaving the pavement I yank the running boards AND rocker trim piece. Your Trail has more clearance than my '11 SR5, but better safe than sorry.

Pull them. When you trash the nfabs it will be more difficult to sell when you realize you should have spent the money for sliders in the first place.. I have the Southern Style sliders and my 4yr old can get in by herself now with a 3 inch lift.

Yes Sir, SSO makes some nice sliders that are not too aggressively angled. Having met the team and seen their operations, they are great people and there sliders are on my list. Too bad they don't ship powder coated anymore,,any suggestions of PC shops in AZ?
