Seattle's #1 defense only defeated 1 top 10 offense and that was in the Saints who they played twice at home and Graham is their only receiving threat. Otherwise they feasted on middling offenses and took out the 4 worst offenses in the league so to say the least I'm not impressed.

Another fun stat is Denver is the #1 ranked offense of all time while the 'Hawks D is ranked 32nd all time. I think only the weather could hinder Denver or if Bad Manning shows up.

CBS Sports did a report on where this years Broncos team ranks all time as far as offense and they put them #1. Here's the rest of their list:

3. 1998 Broncos
4. 1984 Miami Dolphins
5. 2001 Rams
6. 1998 Vikings
7. 2005 Colts

The only team to win the Super Bowl (from #2-7) was the 1998 Broncos in 1999. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or bad!

All I know is that it's going to be 2 weeks of Super Bowl talk which is going to equal two weeks of heartburn. The only winner will be Zantac, Tums and Pepto Bismol.

"Hawks D ranked 32nd all time", really? Best offense against the worst defense "of all time"? Hmmm, then this SB48 final score maybe 1,456 to 3! Where the f%^&8 are you getting your stats?

Even then, Hawk's D is #1 this season vs. Bronco's offense is the best in the league this season. The sports pundits are already calling this would be one of the most interesting match-up in SB history. Both Teams are No.1 seed in their conference. One is ranked No.1 in offense and the other No. 1 in defense. Seattle allowed only 14.6 pts. per game, best in the league. Denver made 36.4 pts. per game, best in the league.

I think you mixed words. Not 32nd best as in the worst of "all time" or all teams. That's a a look of all defenses by year. 32nd is respectable, but not quite elite or best of all time.

Based on regular season stats it sounds interesting. But so did the first Broncos-Chiefs game... as did the Broncos-Patriots playoff game. I'm sensing a pattern.

The Broncos D is playing much better than they did in the regular season despite losing key players and in both our postseason games the defense was supposed to be our undoing.

Wilson in his last four games of the season threw just four touchdowns to go with three interceptions, topped 200 yards passing in a game just once and had three of his six lowest-rated passing games of the season.

Also Wilson's 34.3 postseason QBR rating is the lowest for a SB starting QB in history and ranks even lower than Rex Grossman's 40.? QBR of the 2005 Bears and guess who beat them in that Super Bowl? Mr. Manning.

Like I said if this game was in Sunny Tampa or the like it would be a blowout. We do get to see Denver travel up to Seattle next season for a rematch and the Broncos host San Fran so we can put that argument to rest too. hehe

On paper it's the Broncos all the way but they play on fieldturf and I can't wait,this is usually the longest two weeks of my life when the Broncos or Packers are in it.

So, 4 of the 6 top offensive teams made it to the Super Bowl with the Broncos being the only ones that won it.

I do agree though that if this was being played in the typical warm Superbowl environment or within a stadium, the offensive advantage would be far greater that it might be if the weather is indeed cold and possibly rainy/snowy. I'm holding onto that in hopes it means it was meant to be for us!

And stats can be given all day long for one side or the other. That's the great thing about sports, especially a game where it's only one game. Really anything can happen. The Patriots were supposed to roll all over the Giants in 2008 and look what happened? As well as the Bears were supposed to stomp all over the Patriots in 1986 and they did just that.

A lot of great points made by everyone. I think this will be close and I like the Seahawks chances. The two #1 units will go at it and both bring things eachother havent seen before but things will settle down. I do think a lot depends on how Seattles Offense performs like some of you have commented. If they can run the football consistently and control the tempo and slow the Denver offense just enough, Hawks should pull it out. The thing that has not been addressed is Lynch's running style. It is difficult and it is hard to defend. We've seen it time and time again when teams play Seattle infrequently or never before, they struggle with Lynch. He is hard to deal with and he gets a lot of yards after contact. This should be a great game and it was the matchup I was hoping for all year.

So, the Best Offense in NFL history scored only 8 points against the #31 best defense in NFL history.

I have always called them that, it's no dig at the level they played at. I will say this. That is the best defense I have ever seen period! They were just crushing everything and all play's Denver tried. Hats off to the Sea Hawks!
