Hey everyone!
So I'm wondering if any of you guys have ever used either of two different spark plugs (as listed in the title) in your 3rd 4Runners, or any Toyota 3.4L engine? These will be going in my 1996 T4R Limited 3.4L.
Which do you think would be a better plug to go with? I am currently running the OEM Toyota Denso plugs and don't get me wrong they are great plugs. I personally just prefer NGK.
I've already contacted Toyota of Japan about it stating on the timing cover to only use the dual prong plug type. Their response was basically that it was a 90's thing and I will have no issues using the single prong NGK Iridium IX plug nor did they advise against it.
The NGK Laser Platinum Spark Plugs are the dual prong type. I had excellent results the Iridium plugs in the past in my other vehicles and would love to put them in my 4Runner.
Just looking for some more feedback before I decide between the two plugs.
