Meh, I'd rather buy one for half the price then drop 6k in mods
EDIT: The problem with his ad is he quotes the legendary reliability and such and the truck having 113k miles. Well then, doesn't it stand to reason that if the reliability is legendary (which it is), buy one with 175k-200k for half the price, mod it and have a rig that can run another 200k? In other words, there's no reason to pay a premium for a low mileage one, when a high mileage one would perform just as well and be just as reliable.

That is a base model 4Runner with 4WD. There's absolutely nothing about it that warrants the price he is asking for, in case anyone on here is looking to buy it.

I think someone will pay that. I personally wouldn't. Very awkward spec. Doesn't really have that baser nostalgic appeal once you check the power window option, and there are plenty of better optioned SR5's out there. Lack of Sunroof is definitely desirable though! Install some SR5 buckets and leather steering wheel and it will be pretty cool.
Agree, the guy might have better luck slathering it up with Armor All and putting it up on BAT for that price.

He might just get a nibble.. here's a 96, pretty much base version also, with more miles that went for $18.5k a few days ago.

My '97 SR-5 w/locker and 120K cost $8K in 2013. And $8K was a high price in 2013!
Then I put in the things that this one undoubtedly needs: Springs, shocks, and tires.

Is it that people want a 5 speed manual or a clean old 3rd gen that bad that they would bid up too 18k for that basic truck? I'm not sure how you can possibly justify half that price for that truck let along 18k. I can right now purchase a clean 2013 FJ for less money than that 4 runner.
