Sorry about not being very clear about what was cracked, and not including a picture of it.
Unfortunately they didn't include the shutter count in the picture info until sometime after this model. I really have no idea what the count is. I had actually considered keeping this one, considering how nicely it works, and the accessories I have for it. But I decided against it. I love having that battery pack! It is so convenient! You aren't stuck battery-less if your Nikon batteries get used up. You simply drop in some double-A batteries and you are back up running again.
