i have the destinations in a 31x10.5 size. Have had them for about 10 months now. great tire and not noisy at all for me. the nittos were more plus i was able to purchase tires on a family friends day. got all 4 with warranty with lifetime alignments for under 600. couldn't pass that up

Just became the proud new owner of a 99 SR5 Highlander Edition 4Runner. Couldn't be happier - and this forum was an amazing resource while I thought the purchase over. Thanks for creating a place like this!
I'm actually looking at the exact same debate between TGs and Destination A/Ts. My concern is primarily snow - being in Western NY we get a good amount each year, but everyone's used to it and the roads are cleared pretty well. Mostly the driving conditions are a few inches of snow on the road daily. The driveway is where the fun's at.
How do these two tires compare in snowy conditions? I've heard great things about both, but not a great deal in comparison in that particular terrain.
Also, on a stock 99 SR5, do either have any rubbing issues? (Edit - size in question is 265/75/16)
Right now I'm looking at about $175 on the car for TGs and $150 on the car with lifetime rotations and balancing (from Firestone dealer) for the Destinations. Any thoughts?

I'm pondering the same decision. Seems to boil down to these on cost vs. performance for me.
Anyone have an opinion to weigh in on whether or not to go with the SL rated or C rated Destinations vs. the NTG SL rated? I don't want to go E rated. The C rated Destinations are .5 " wider than the SL rated, but are about $30 more each. Is that due to a thicker sidewall or what?

Decision Made...
Quick update: After talking to a few people both here and on Yotatech I decided to go with the Destination A/Ts. I'll post pics soon...but they look great and fit perfectly as 265/75s. I was able to drive them around in the rain this morning and so far I like them. We'll have to see when winter strikes how they hold up.
For those interested: I went through Firestone because they were priced the same as tirerack (when you add in shipping/installation) and they threw in the extended road hazard warranty and free rotations/balancing/discounted alignment for life. Not too bad. Total was $700 on the truck.
