Nitto Terra or BFG ATs?

I'd think since I was only a few miles away and still at sea level when the light came on - maybe the increased tire pressure in the new tires - from the heat being run maybe made the difference. I wasn't sure if the spare even had a sensor - but guess it does. I'll lower the tire and see how far off it is. I was running the 4 Nitto's at 44lbs. Don't know what the difference has to be to set it off.

It was a good trip - but the tire sensor light on - and the maintenence light on as I arrived at camp 1100 miles from home - it wasnt' without stress. Also have developed the rattle with the Cornfed install. I'll find that first- then I'll get back to the tire issue.

No need to lower the Nittos just make sure the spare is full. The system just looks for low pressure on any one tire, it won't notice a ten psi difference provided none of the tires are below 28psi (28 IIRC).

Resnug the nuts on top of the struts... That may be your rattle.

Thanks. Its coming along - although right now its a joe-dirt special. Probably riding with 200lbs underbody insulation (mud).

Once I unload the tent, bags, coolers and other hunt / camp gear I'll get her cleaned up and will lower the spare - just to see if its close to the 44lbs I'm running. Can't imagine it would be below 28 - but will have to ck. I washed it once but its still brown and loaded.

I wondered if maybe putting on the differnt wheels (17" taco wheels) somehow effected it... but the spare pressure will be my first ck.

I'll probably move the spare with the other 18s to the wife's 4runner and put in another Nitto and a 17 so its same-ol - same-ol.

I'll ck the top nut to the shocks again too. Think that's what is making the noise. Making me want to call TC and get it on - but will have to wait until I sell a toy. I have lighted limited running boards for sale btw! Suspension and armor fund in action.

Did you transfer your TPMS sensors? If so that's not an issue... If you used no sensors or the ones from the Taco that could be an issue. No snesors is, well duh, not going to work. The Taco sensors would have to be matched up to the computer by a computer that plugs into the car. Most modern tire shops have it.

Some of the guys who have taken sensors out have reported a very long window of time before the light comes on...

Still check the spare If you don't carry a compressor nothing worse than a flat spare...
