No heat at idle

Hey everyone. I think I solved this thanks to the search button but still want to run it by you guy real fast in case I missed something.

So like I said, at idle my T4R is blowing cold air. When I hit the gas it warms up no problem. I've read that it's either low coolant or the thermostat. Around March this year, I had the coolant flushed and replaced. I can see plenty in the reservoir. So unless there's another potential issue causing it to blow cold, it should be the thermostat right?

Does the thermostat also effect the A/C at all? Because I did notice this summer that more than once it felt like I couldn't cool my truck down like previous years.

Grab an OEM thermostat with seal and replace it yourself. It's like 3 bolts and one clamp. Not much pours out during the swap, maybe have at least a quart of coolant on hand just in case.
Do not over tighten the bolts, the thermostat housing is just plastic

See if that solves all your issues or not and go from there.

Thanks man, I appreciate the advice. I saw the thermostat is right there in front but thought I would have to drain the coolant to change the t-stat. Makes me feel a lot better.
