Question on the FJ springs for anyone who may have an answer. I know the 4X4 springs are different, but I thought I remember reading there is yet a different set of FJ springs. A special FJ offroad edition ??

To my knowledge all springs are the same, it's just the shocks that vary between the packages. The base model has Tokico's, and there are two different Bilstein shocks found on certain models.
The best place to find FJ springs is Toyota FJ Cruiser Community or craigslist. You can try ebay, but I didn't have any luck there at all.
As for the spacer, based on my measurements the Toytec, which is listed as a 3/4" spacer (1/2" of material, yeilds about 1" of lift) will leave some rake. The Daystar Budget Boost will give 1.75-2" and be very close to level. I did just the front FJ springs and the Toytec spacer (netted 1.5" lift) and it's very level. However, I'm beginning to think that the vehicles equipped with OEM rear air suspension sit higher in the rear than the standard models. So, I'd do some measuring using the lift amounts posted by Chris (CJ3Flyr) to determine the size of spacer needed. Also, consider what you want. Some people want a little rake left, others want a very level look with the exact same space from tire to fender front/rear, it all comes down to a personal preference.
