No rear defrost or rear wiper...

I have an 08' 4r ltd v6.

My wife told me today that the rear defrost and rear wiper don't work. I haven't had a chance to look at it...have been mainly working on my 80 series Toyota and haven't been in this forum in a while....

Anyway, I am guessing fuse?? I recently replaced the battery and maybe fried something????

Check to be sure the door is closed completely like if something is caught in the latch

Also roll down your tailgate window slightly and roll it back up, making sure it's all the way up. If it's the tiniest bit down, it will disable the defrost and wipers.

Don't think it is....I would think u could activate the rear window defrost regardless of the door open or not. (The light on the defrost button will not illuminate).

Has the battery been disconnected for any reason? This sounds like aht happens when you do, although I do not recall if the defrost is affected or not. You let the chassis control module figure out what's going on by lowering the window part way, then raising it back up while you continue to hold the button. It will reset and everything should work.
