No Signal Peak this Year?

I follow the local US Forest Service page on FB. I saw a post yesterday indicating a road closure that I believe is the road to Signal Peak. I posted a comment asking if the "easy" access to Signal Peak from Cisco Grove would be open; I received a simple response of "No."

I see some 4wheel threads saying it is closed through 2028 due to PG&E maintenance. The trail coming up from Eagle Lakes Rd will have some major traffic jams because of this. That trail gets backed up when only one or two vehicles are coming down instead of exiting toward Cisco Grove. Guess I won't be doing Signal Peak for a while. At least not on weekends.
