No sound coming from stock radio

Hey, got an issue with my stock radio/cd player for my 2007 t4r sr5. Radio/CD player is on and functioning, just no sound coming from the speakers. Tried turning the key while the truck was running several times, still no sound. I even checked all fuses, don't know if/where the amp is. I did hear the radio while driving home from work a few days ago, but it was only a few quick static-y clips than nothing again.
I just got my 4Runner in April after my '96 Jeep was totaled...I love my t4r! Havent changed anything in it, just want to hear my music! I drive 45 minutes to work...that's a pretty quiet ride. Any advice before I take it to the dealership?

Just put an aftermarket radio in it. There's a good chance your head-unit is fried, but it could also be the factory amp if you have one. Just spend 180 bucks on a decent unit from Crutchfield or Sonic Electronics and be done with it.

The dealership will just charge you 100 bucks to tell you that you need a head-unit.

Just replace it with a scion unit, They sound wayyyyy better and fit right in- no mods necessary. (shameless plug) And I just happen to have one 4 sale on ebay
