NO start...has fuel and spark.

My '97 3.4 w/172K on it shut down on my wife a couple days ago going down the road. After towing back to our house I decided it was the fuel pump because its been having a really long start (4 or 5 cranks). But just to be safe I checked if I was getting spark and I was (Just replaced plugs and wires 2K ago), I also pulled the tail light fuse and plugged it into the EFI to see if maybe that was the problem but still nothing. So I just stuck a new fuel pump in...I checked at my fuel filter to see if any fuel was coming out at crank to see if it may be plugged (only 500 miles on filter) and It wsa coming out strong....so basically I dont know where to go from here.....it was throwing a p0120 and a p0420 but I dont think either of those will cause a no start condition...maybe im wrong?

oh and the timing belt was just changed not even miles ago 5000 and I cleaned out IAC, TB and MAF when I changed out my plugs and wires.

Next question is if you are getting fuel out of the injectors.

Does the engine turn over then die right away? If so mine did the same it ended up being the wiring harness directly below the MAF. It had something to do with the igniter system. One of the wires had worked its way out of the harness, after getting it back in there the engine ran fine. It had me stumped, I along with a few other people thought it wasn't getting fuel due to it starting and dying. Took three hours to figure out the actual problem and 30 seconds to fix it. Oh and it dint throw any code either :redbrick:

yeah it doesnt even fire up....its just turning over and there is no fire what so ever. I am gonna start going through all the relays to make sure no corrosion.

regarding finding out if the injectors are getting fuel how should I go about finding out? pull a plug out directly after firing to see if wet?
