Yes it is a caster assembly. 2 seconds huh? :tape2: Ever shot an HK21? Set up correctly - like mine - they have little recoil. Also that is no a Harbor Freight Jobbie - Side note, My business is repairing Material Handling Equipment - , If you think I I am going to put my $35K beltfed on some chincy POS you are wrong, the caster assembly will hold up with no problem. :hat:
Yes it will be mounted with a QD to remove also.
Yes the fore grip is on it because I have had it set up to be shoulder fired and just hadn't removed it while doing this - no harm with it.

I came off a little harsh and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound like I was talking crap. I saw an expensive gun using a peq2 or laser system that does very horrible on a gun that has any amount of vibration, not to mention the vibration associated with the vehicle transerrd to the weapon. I have shot nearly 100,000 rounds on a vehicle mounted weapon using the peq2 and they don't hold up. Also that light is way too big to be mounted underneath that gun. Your downwards traverse on that setup isn't going t be very good if at all plus it doesn't help you balance out your weapon system very well. You also have a plastic fore grip on a weapon that you cannot hip or shoulder fire with the butterfly grip. I'm just speaking from experience on that setup so no offense.
Then on the flip side, you're building an offroad rig that the Mexican drug cartel would love to have and it's a little weird.

I have about 10K through a PEQ2 with no issues so far.
The light and position was all figured into the design of it, weigh helps balance it and there is enough traverse and elevation nothing obstructs it - Surefire designed it to be on a vehicle, mounted under the gun- and I can't shoot the front of my truck - where the shocks are positions stop that. Almost like I figured it all out BEFORE cutting and welding
The plastic fore grip would take longer to remove than it takes to install the stock on it - HK21s have 2 push pins, remove grips and install stock, insert 2 push pins, done in under 1 minute.
Funny as the Mexican Federallies use the HK21
And the brass from a 21 lands about 60 feet away from you @ your 1:30

In one of the pictures on your first post it looks like you have some bypass shocks? Do you hear the clicking they make or is not noticeable or annoying when driving around normally? [MENTION=89531]Cartzo[/MENTION] and I were just watching a video of bypasses clicking and reading up on it and not sure we want to go with bypasses if they are so damn loud:

I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence. I wasn't sure if you knew and was just throwing it out there. Also, if you want to make your jack more stable (you probably already know this too) but you can buy a wider base for it with a moe aggressive bottom on it so it will grab the rock or dirt that you're jacking on.

Yes it is an impressive pack, I flattened the first pack Deaver built for me so they had to add 2 leafs - 15 Total :thumb3:- and rearch it to get it right, they nailed it!!! It rides so nice on the highway and off road, I must say I didn't think it was going to and I was wrong.
I want the "Sleeper" look to it.

The Hellfighter is best used for the IR

I've toured SF and seen them make the Hellfighter from start to finish, and I've seen SF reps mounting a Hellfighter on an M134 minigun at Dillon Aero's desert range, but I've never actually seen one in action - I should try to score one for my buddy's UH-1...
I also have some IR lights from a Humvee, just never got around to installing them on the 4Runner (yet)... here's my post from 8 months ago:

I passed on a nice 21 sear gun less than a decade ago when I could have had it for $7k, I still kick myself for that one (or the $450 HK sears back in the late 80s/early 90s...), but I'm happy with the E4 for my belt-fed
