noisy driver side and leaky cargo

Anybody have any idea what’s going on?

1) Quite a bit of wind noise and wind coming from the driver door especially at the window near the B pillar.

2) rear cargo mat is constantly damp after raining. Moon roof is sealed shut with silicone and drains all cleared before sealing. Headliner is dry so I’m guessing it’s some type of seal?

I’m guessing it’s all weather stripping related?
Anybody have any idea what’s going on and how to fix this?

1) sounds like either bad door alignment or bad weather stripping.

2) I got to chase down 2 leaks last week for work. Sadly on these Lincoln vehicles it's the seams in the body that develop pinhole leaks. Hopefully that's not the case for you. It's probably more likely the silicone on the sunroof job has a hole now or perhaps the weather stripping in the rear.

I check for leaks by trying to trace backwards from where the puddle or wetness is. Have someone run a hose over the vehicle while you're in the car with a flashlight removing panels. It stinks but it works. It's shocking a pinhole can cause standing water in just 1 storm event.

I don't know about the headliner in the 4runner, but the Lincoln MKS has a backing that prevents water from seeping through, so it tracks to a lower spot and the headliner never get wet.
