non-3rd row, premium audio rear trim panel

I've been looking into audio upgrades for 2018 Off-Road without factory premium audio. I really appreciate OE appearance and parts. Looks like the cleanest solution is to use:

Sub enclosure -- p/n 86150-35080
Interior Quarter Trim w/ premium audio w/o third row seat -- p/n 64730-35140-C0

I've searched high and low for an actual picture of the non-3rd row trim. I found one image in a related thread, but want to ask for verification if this is what it looks like. I borrowed the image from [MENTION=285424]bryada[/MENTION]

well...I just seen that's a factory sub encloser. I guess it can't be added to a regular stereo.

I added the stock enclosure and panel to my non-JBL stereo. I'm actually selling the line output converter that I used since I recently updated my head unit as well.

The 2 part numbers i listed allow you to enclose an 8" sub. Nice and tidy, with OE trim. Amp and related wiring would be up to your creativity. There may be a way to do a full swap of the JBL premium audio, but I'm not interested in that, I just want the OE enclosure and trim to keep things stealthy and clean.

Did you ever install this panel+OEM sub box? Curious to get some feedback on the install and if it included all the mounting hardware. I have a 2015 TEP without the JBL and no third row. I am thinking about this same setup....pricey as it may be it avoids the need for a sub box in the back space. I just want to be sure the part number will work for my year.

I'm doing the same, and got the idea from BlackAck and some others. Seems like a great option for those of us that use our cargo space a lot, and like a clean look. I don't know why Toyota has 2 part numbers though, or why one of them is twice the cost. But I bought PN 86150-35080, and it looks correct. BlackAck's thread has his install, and I'll probably make a thread for my install soon too. I'll get to that part of my install this weekend.

I didn't get the trim panel though, I'm just going to make something to fill the empty space, or a simple cover like in the picture.

Edit: I just realized I didnt answer your question lol. The enclosure I got did not come with hardware, but AFAIK it'll fit a 2015. It's listed as 2018+ I think, and mine is a 2017.

I'm stuck on analysis paralysis with which low-pro 8" sub to swap in without breaking the bank, definitely don't need to swing for the JL. Leaning toward the Kicker option, Crutchfield comments point toward it being an easy fit in the factory box without having to fab a mounting bracket or anything. The preloaded box is sitting on a shelf in my garage laughing at me.

I had the same problem. It's tough to choose between a bunch of subwoofers you've never heard.

The Audison APS 8 was suggested to me by the guy helping me with my system, and while I trust his opinion, I'm going to try the Sundown SD4. Sundown is mostly known for SPL focused subs, but I've heard SQ is pretty good on this one, and it has the best x-max I've found for a sub I can mount in this enclosure, and it can take a lot of power. So hopefully it will get a little louder but still have good sound quality. If it doesn't work out I'll probably switch to the Audison APS 8.

Some of the Kickers are good for the money I hear too.

Everything I have seen is for a third row seating version. Mine is only two row and has the trim panel with a big pocket in it. It would be great to know if the JBL trim panel for a 2-row TEP is a direct replacement for my current one so I can avoid I a finished product that looks like this:

Yeah I have a 2-row also, and ran into the same issue. The trim panel for a 2-row with JBL is harder to find used it seems, and I don't want to spend that much on what is basically a plastic cover for the pocket lol. Not sure what I'm going to make for it yet though. I'm a sheetmetal fabricator, so if it won't look cheesy maybe I'll make some new, shallower pockets or a cover out of aluminum and anodize it black or something. I'll have to see how it all looks once the pocket is removed and the sub is in.

After looking at your pic again, the Al would just look out of place I think.
