Non-ABS axle shafts in ABS housing?

So I'm about to do my rear brakes and axle seals for the 5th time now thanks to scarred shafts. They're both scarred from someone trying to grind off the bearing/ABS rings. Every time I replace the seals I know it's only a matter of time before they leak again and toast the brakes. I'm looking at replacing them with these Toyota, Suzuki Samurai, and Jeep Off Road Parts but as you can see, they are ABS only.

Will they fit my axle housing? E-locker with factory 4.30s

I'm not worried about ABS, it's already busted thankfully.

I've tried JB weld to fix the issue with no success. My only other idea besides replacing them is to take them to a machine shop, weld a bead in the scars and lathe them back down.

Wow. Wouldn't it be easier to buy non abs axles from a yard or fix the abs and buy abs axles from a yard?

I want theses ones since they are chromoly and I'm running 35's. No need to fix the ABS at all, I hated it off road.

I'm pretty sure you can do it.

The only difference is the housing has a bubble for the ABS.

I know I'm running my ABS shafts in a NON ABS housing.

I just had the ring pressed off.

Just make sure the spline count is the same.

I ran the Poly Performance Tacoma ones in my straight axle 1999, they work fine with ABS.

Not everything Trail Gear sells works correctly.

unless they really changed things, stock axles are MORE than strong enough for 35's.

hell, ive been running 38's, spooled with a v8 on stock axles for about 10 years now.
chromo rears are only a very tiny bit stronger than OE.

Just scored an entire rear axle off CL. Non E-locker and 4.10 gears, hope the shafts are the same and in good condition.

I'm running aftermarket crmo axles (non abs) in an abs housing since I went to rear disks, no issues with the axles.

In need of help

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I am in a pickle. My 98 runner non ABS rear axle housing failed due to rust. I found an ABS housing on CL for it. Mechanic has the thing pulled apart on the lift and says that the ABS housing will not work, as the seals are in a different place. Does anyone have a fix for this?
