Just a small batch of photos from Labor day weekend. Got to meet up with [MENTION=44305]weeeee[/MENTION] and [MENTION=115782]RedStripeRanger[/MENTION] and a few others for some exploring Check out [MENTION=44305]weeeee[/MENTION]'s build thread for more awesome photos.

Camped the first night outside of Yosemite. Took some time to find a good spot off of the main road since we arrived in the area at about 11pm. Not really surprised that there were other vehicles in the same area camping out for the long weekend.


Mandatory morning coffee


Did a quick visit to Yosemite Valley then headed to Mono Lake to meet up with the group.

We also did some exploring and climbs some cool rocks




We then made our way to Bodie which was pretty cool.

Before getting there, we passed by an odd fellow who was walking on the side of the road with a stroller??


Living in the city, I forget that places like this still exist.








We then made out way to more trails and eventually camp.

Had some trouble along the way when a anchor bolt went straight through [MENTION=44305]weeeee[/MENTION]'s tire.

That night we set up camp next to an abandoned mine. Woke up early the next day and figured it was a good opportunity for some photos.




Old mine shafts that we blocked off right on the hill above our camp.



After a quick breakfast we continued on for more trails

Stopped to check out the hot springs near Bridgeport. It was pretty crowded so we opted just to take a quick look around and continue on our way.












We went through a ton of tight trails. The RTT snagged a branch and it decided to come along for the ride.

Love the build, love the photos... the above photo is my favorite of the none truck pics.

The colors and composure is just perfect... can I ask for the camera settings? You shooting cannon? Looks like cannon production.

Were you able to plug that tire btw?

Thanks for the kind words. Funny you should say that because I don't shoot Canon at all. You may have noticed the varying quality between the above photos, and thats because they are a mix from the following:
Nikon D90
Panasonic Lumix LX-7
Gopro Hero4
Samsung Galaxy S4

Camera settings for the above photo:
D90 w/ 35mm at f/1.8 1/500 iso250

We didn't plug the tire on the trail, just swapped to the spare. Not sure if [MENTION=44305]weeeee[/MENTION] got that fixed.

Definitely. Missed you this year on the Shaver Lake trip too. I'm looking forward to seeing your new setup in action

Awesome pics man! It was nice meeting you guys and hitting the trails. Def need to do it again soon.

I forgot about Jeff's random fruit platter. Definitely need to visit that mine again to actually check out the mine shafts. Pucker factor on that ridge was insane. I actually have a video of that random branch on my dashcam (right as you said you wished you had video, lol).

Couple of us were tempted to plug that tire but because it went all the way through the tread and sidewall I decided to just have it replaced when I got back. If I caught another flat on the trail I probably would've tried to save it.

Tire hazard warranty through Discount Tire has paid for itself a couple times over now though

Ah nicee. I actually have a bunch of gopro video too. Might put together a short vid if I can get around to it, or at least upload some of the more interesting footage.

Installed my National Luna Single Battery Monitor today. I opted for the surface mount since I wanted it accessible somewhere in the front of the vehicle.

Already wired up and showing the battery level


Used velcro to mount it in the center console panel under the AC knob. This lets me take the monitor off in case I need to pull it out to monitor it closer for some reason.

Finally got around to wiring up my 50qt ARB Fridge. I used the ARB wiring kit and socket and routed the wiring on the passenger side. Mounted the socket on top of the rear wheel well tray. Right now I've just got it strapped down to the OEM cargo tray temporarily until I sort out a more permanent solution.

Took advantage of the recent RCI group buy and picked up pretty much everything they have to offer. I received 3 out of 4 of my shipment and decided to get a head start on installing everything.

Picked up a complete set of skids in 3/16" steel with black powder coat. Not pictured here are the A-arm skids, gas tank skid, and lower link skids which should be arriving today.


Install was a breeze with the instructions provided by RCI.

Do you have your tent mounted to just the stock rails? If so, how'd you do that? I thought I'd have to buy a new rack to mount it, but if not then that's awesome.

I have previously mounted the tent to just the stock rails but I wouldn't recommend it. The bolts used to secure the tent are waay too close to the roof. Literally 1mm or less of clearance. I'm currently using Thule square bars for the tent.

Those Thule bars just go on the stock rails right? It'd be a cheaper way to get the tent up there.

yep. Thule bars on top of the stock side rails.
