A friend of mine who does vinyl wraps was visiting and I asked him to vinyl wrap my hood scoop in matte black to cut down on some of the glare from the sun. Got the idea for this design from [MENTION=136636]jafrush[/MENTION].
Kevlar tape that will be used to outline and cut the vinyl.
Laying the vinyl down.
Smoothing out the vinyl and tightening it up with a heat gun.
Finished product. Literally took about 15 minutes total.

Picked up a set of Black 1.25" Spidertrax spacers. Been on the fence about getting spacers since I do like having a narrow stance on the trail but I do like the look of the wider stance and more tire/UCA clearance that the spacers provide. I'm currently running stock trail wheels with 275/70R17 KO2's.

I did have some rubbing in the front and resolved that by doing the fender liner mod and trimming the bottom of the bumper that the fender liner mod exposed.

Received my Eezi-Awn 2.2M K9 Roof Rack today and had some time to install it right away. The install was pretty straight forward since I used the instructions provided by Eezi Awn as well as this install writeup by [MENTION=137794]JasonKoko[/MENTION].
Roof rack was delivered via Fedex freight since its a single large piece.
I didn't take any photos during the install since the writeup above is already so detailed.
I didn't have any issues with the front or back channels bending upwards.
I forgot to install the wind deflector until the very end and would have had to undo a lot of bolts to get it on so I ditched that for now.
Overall, I'm really satisfied with the quality and finish of the rack. It was much lighter than I expected and feels extremely sturdy after tightening everything down. Looking forward to putting it to work on the next trip.

On another note though, my girlfriend had her roof vinyl wrapped gloss black and its been about 3 years now. Its parked outside everyday with 0 maintenance done to it. I'd say its due for a replacement. The vinyl itself has held up really well with no tears or peeling but its pretty much covered in water spots and stains from tree sap and bird crap and is unrepairable.

I am seriously considering doing the "scoop" on my 4Runner as well as the roof to protect it from... well... me throwing stuff up there.

Typically vinyl wraps usually last about 5 years max, assuming garaged every so often and reasonably well kept. I could have definitely used a wrap on my roof previously with all the stuff I was throwing up there before having the k9 rack.

Yeah, Natalia is a garage queen... when I am home. I find my self using my rack for quite a bit of stuff, and it looks like this summer will be especially hard on it.

Snapped some photos after finally washing the 4Runner. I forgot how shiny the rims are when they're clean. :reddance:
