Well gentleman,.got off early enough. I just repainted mynslidder on the 4th.
Been needing to do my yearly wax job, ( make you think about what he really is doing there).

So I have my roof rake off, so having my buddy clay barring off all the yrs over spray,.welding scares,.and who knows what.

Clay bar. I use Dirt Bar. I gave up waxing vehicles a long time ago. I use Manzanita to buff out scratches. Lol

Found my truck had a not-so-great steering idler arm. Thankfully Amazon came thru and I got it tonight, popped her on and should be gravy. ... Of course I ordered 2 so I'll have a spare for future incidences.

Anyhow, hopefully us later folks will catch you early cats at the top or something.

Corral Hollow 7/7

Met up with [MENTION=142877]Folsom4Rnr[/MENTION] [MENTION=157695]theoutbackdream[/MENTION] and [MENTION=215689]SilverTEP[/MENTION] and ran Corral Hollow. Was surprised that other than some Rzr's, we were the only ones on the trail. Trail head at 9 am and off before 12:30.

A good, fun run.

Took him about an hour to take the film and filt off.
I did the wax job after.

And yea... I had no problems following you guys since I could just look for where the dust was heavy.

After we parted ways, I went to Sourgrass and tried to find the trail Brain suggested I check out... I couldn't find the old bridge, but there was a logging road that looked like it looped back to Borderman crossing(?)... but it just went on and on and on.. so I flipped a U.

Sourgrass was dead... There were people grilling at the picnic parking lot.. people swimming... people hiking... The whole hour I was there chilling, only 1 Jeep came through... Creek crossing was really low... Got to use my sliders a good amount. :heh:

Oh dude it's all good. Personally, I was smoked after that. Tired and ready to go home. Probably didn't have another trail in me AND a 3 hour drive home.

We got off the trail around 2/3 maybe? I wasn't really keeping track. We stopped a bunch and looked around and took our time. I didn't get home til 6:30 pm and I left my house at 7 am.... Long day. Worth it, but I'm gonna like it more when I actually can do an over nighter.

What's the next run? I'm voting for Lake Almanor area. Heard great things.

I had a friend of mine who used to live in Chester which is right near Lake Almanor and he always said there's tons of options. He made it sound like there was just random trails and small lakes all over the place. Sad thing is, he died last month and him and I never went out there for him to show me.... So really it's just a guessing game for me.

That being said, google maps even shows a bunch of unnamed roads around the Chester area. Shitty part is it's like 3 1/2 hrs to get there and it's pretty much a guess... Near there (sort of) is poker flat. Is that one anybody has done? Seems decent enough.

Otherwise, we'd have to be headed a little more west I think
