Maintenance day went a little awry. Pulled rear springs and started to adjust pinion angle for the new double cardan drive shaft. Started putting things together and noticed the inner bushing pushing out on the Johnny Joint. Had to completely disassemble the joint, clean up and put back together. Now, looks like I will hopefully wrap up tomorrow.

Any recommendations for easy trails up around the Lassen Volcanic NP or the Mt Shasta area?

There's an easy trail up to a fire lookout just north of the park. Think it is west prospect peak. Good views, did it the first week I had my 4runner.

Sounds like the infamous driver lean because of the fuel tank. dunno about the 5th gens, but the 4th gens need a 1/4" spacer on the driver side to fix it... I'm to cheap and lazy to do it...

Same for tacos, just learned to love it.

Hmm, full tank yes, but the lean started after the trip.. I have a 1/4" spacer passenger side for the infamous KDSS lean... we'll see. I'm aiming to notch my springs in the back, might remove the spacer if needed.

With the extra lift in the back the rare diff has some more room on the trails, which is good, but it doesn't look great 'mall crawling' atm.

I like a healthy rake, I'm kinda bummed out because my ride has settled to pretty much level.

Clay barring ain't a pita, but it's so time consuming to make it look good.

Buddy said, the trick to looking good is using the polishing compound, then throw some corn starch on it while its still wet and work it in.

If your hiking the Sierra High Route, maybe. For car camping I'd say 5lbs might be a little light. Everything is better with bacon. lol
