That was quite the view into those gorges at the top! I'm still getting the dust out of my 4Runner though, sucks to be the one in the back of the line lol!

I learned that the hard way as well. Windows up, recirc ON. Cuts waaay down on interior mess.

Monday, October 15, 2018, a day run into the Rubicon from Loon Lake. Go into little Sluice or Buck Island and come back out.

My main things are;
1) Week day to minimize traffic & congestion (especially since we'd all be IFS rigs).
2) Having a capable rig / parts / tools for what may be thrown at us on the trail.
3) Keeping the list to 5-6 vehicles max.

Some may think I am coming off like an ass (but I am used to that), the reasoning for the criteria is to make sure everyone had a good time, keep up a good pace and not spending time dealing with issues because someone thought their WRX was a good choice.

Any thoughts?

Id be in for this...depending on what time you head up since Im actually in the east bay. But shit...Ill camp all weekend up that way and come meet up after. Screw Monday work!

Hey all -
I am trying to pull together a day trip wheeling, off HWY 50/South of Kyburz (Silverfork Rd. area) for Sunday Sept. 2nd.

The rough plan is to take Silverfork Rd. to No. Shanty 4WD Trail to Upper Long Canyon Rd. to West Cody 4x4 to Spur Bee 4WD Trail (out n back), then head back to HWY50 via Mule Canyon to Silverfork Rd.

I go up to that area all the time - wish I could join you on 9/2

Got off early today and off to the mountains. Decided to head down and run Sourgrass solo. Not a sole on the trail. Now, to enjoy a cold one.

I called Placerville Ranger station today and spoke to one of the rangers ... both Strawberry and Little Round Top trails are open per the ranger.

I definitely want to run this trail this season. I will post up when I figure that out.

8:30 AM - meet up in between the Starbucks & Chevron in Folsom that is right off HWY50 (address is 195 Placerville Rd, Folsom, CA 95630) (or if you like coordinates: 38.645771, -121.113749)

~8:45 AM to ~10:15 AM - Drive to No. Shanty trail head on Pack Saddle Rd. (38.736462, -120.202456)

~10:15 AM - 10:30 AM - air down / get ready

10:45 AM ish - Start wheeling...

The plan is to run No. Shanty in the northeastern direction to the intersection with Upper Long Canyon. Then run east ... Upper Long Canyon to Scoits Creek to Station Spur to West Cody to Spur Bee TH. Then run Spur Bee 4WD trail out and back ... then, depending on time of day, likely head back to HWY50 to call it a day.

Lookin' forward to it! Ready to test out my new suspension setup - Bilstein 6112s up front and 5100's in the rear w/OME 906's. Also, found the key to my trailer hitch lock and got it off, ha. See you all on Sunday.

Fun run. We lucked out by avoiding Labor Day 4wheeling traffic on the trails. [MENTION=142877]Folsom4Rnr[/MENTION] 's KMs and new rims looked sick.
