In case anyone who didn't attend was curious: Strawberry was a no-go. Had 2' of fresh snow heading up and we got turned around. We then went back down to Emigrant Trail which also had a bunch.

[MENTION=166093]RDOOGZ89[/MENTION] and I opted out after seeing [MENTION=142877]Folsom4Rnr[/MENTION] get hung up twice in the first mile and half and learning that path was going to be about 25 miles more of that. Took me 45 minutes, 6 or more grown men and 2 shovels just to turn around in that icy powder.

That was at 11:30 am. I didn't get back home until 4:15. As of 5:50 pm I still haven't heard from him or the rest of them. Hoping they make it down alright. I'm keeping and ear out so post up gents when you get back down

We took some muddy/slushy paths and finally found a huge muddy hill which was a ton of fun. Imagine getting stuck half way, pushing down the breaks, and sliding all the way down, tires locked. MarkamisPrime showed us how to do it, 4HI and full throttle.

No one got stuck after you guys left, although there was a technical recovery on top of the muddy hill.

I'm glad it turned out to be a good time. That does sound like fun. Next time I'll leave the little one at home. Her mother was not pleased i brought her some smelling like puke and wearing my t shirt!

We turned off MET at approx. 38.677307, -120.314280 (believe it was road 10N87) and traveled along that to 10N46, exiting back onto MET at approx. 38.701207, -120.373783.

I attached a .gpx track from my GPS in the attached zip.

That last picture looks just like the very first time we went snow wheeling up at High lakes earlier this year.

Yeah, the first part of MET was similar - but the snow wasnt as deep and we ended up making it a lot farther
