Looking to get the taillights on my black 2010 smoked out. Anyone know of good custom shops in the bay area that could do this and maybe some other minor work for me (e.g. painting badges matte or satin black)?

I've never been here but I've seen these guys listed around as doing specialty work on LandCruisers and other Toyotas. You might want to give these guys a call, it looks like they have done some pretty good work on the Cruisers they have restored.

What you are asking doesn't seem difficult and I imagine most body shops could handle it. But at least these guys have specific Toyota experience.

yeah concord auro body does cruisers but i dont think they would do something gay like that, youd have to go to a custom auto place that does "pimping" like east bay auto spa

yeah you should just get led tails instead of tint. IMO blacked out tail lights only look good on sports cars :hatsoff:

look up sickhids.com brian is in norcal and does awesome custom light work and hid or led retros

Just do it yourself.

Not too difficult, I've only helped on headlights, but taillights should be the same.[/color

• remove the taillight
• baked the lights in an oven or use a heatgun to warm up the silicone
• pry it apart w/ a thin flathead
• do the prep to sand
• paint, etc
• and reverse the steps.
