We had one at Hollister. See the write up section for a report.
WHy dont you set one up? Just pick a venue, a date and post under the trip planning section. Post some info on the venue and give people a couple of weeks to get ready.

Part of the reason is that I'm new to the whole 4wd thing and would like to just meet up with a few guys get to understand my truck a little better and then maybe try some 4wheeling.

Hollister Hills is a pretty good place to go, pending where you are in NorCal. It has many different trails and obstacles, great place to learn and advance some 4x4 skills. I'm not sure when I will be going there next, but probably only later in January 05 at the earliest. I will post a thread under the meeting forum, when I do.
