Northeast Halloween

You have been seeing all the devastation on the hurricane every where you look on TV and internet, one thing I have not seen or heard about is all the those little boys and girls looking forward to go trick or treating tonight, they are not!!! They probably had their costumes all ready, just waiting for that special night and then the horrible happened :(. I feel bad for the many thousands of kids this halloween that they feel cheated and skipped by, I know my kids would be sad (and crying of course) if it happened to them. We are blessed to go and just like many others. Sorry you guys didn't get to make it this year.

I've been thinking about the children too. Hopefully some places around the cities that are still fully functional will do something small for these little guys. I know it may seem minor compared to the devastation that really occurred, but little ones don't always understand.
Thoughts and prayers to all of those that are effected.

I remember reading that the gov of nj or ny or one of those states said that they will sign an executive order to reschedule halloween this year.

That's good to hear. I know many years ago we had a huge snow storm and they did that for the children here.
I love Halloween!

In my town, Halloween was cancelled. Given that we were without power for 10 days, people were cleaning up the mess, and another noreaster decided to dump almost a foot of snow on us, Halloween just wasn't going to happen this year. Everybody was really understanding. I think a lot of people were eating that candy because all restaurants were closed and there was no power.
